Our Story
Our journey with animals began with raising Nigerian Dwarf goats and chickens. We fell in love with the farm lifestyle, milking goats and having fresh eggs every day. In 2021, we started making a business plan and researched a variety of animals and ideas. We landed on yaks because of their ability to thrive at high elevation, their resilience and independence, and their unique beauty. We purchased our first herd in early 2024 and are still learning so much about their quirky personalities. We are so excited to be sharing our love for yaks with the Klamath Basin and beyond.
Meet the Herd
Our first herd consists of Wade the bull, his lovely ladies, and their 7 calves. This herd is quite wild and will take some work to gain trust. We have two bottle calves, Jackie and Cash, who we absolutely adore.
Our second herd consists of Spartan the bull, his 20 yak ladies and their 5 calves. Most of this herd is happy to eat treats from our hands and enjoy head scratches.

Jackie
Jackie became a bottle calf on the day she was born. We had to separate her from the herd when she was continuously flipped by the bull and females in the herd. When we attempted to reunite her with her mother the following day, her mother would not leave the herd to be with her baby. Today she is thriving with her bestie Cash and loves belly scratches.

Cash
Cash became a bottle calf at two weeks old when his mother suddenly got sick and passed quickly. He has some spunk but is the sweetest boy. His favorite spot to rest his head is on Jackie's back.

Spartan
This handsome bull came to us from Idaho and we are excited to see some more royal calves around the herd!
